How to clean dirty grout to get sparkling clean lines between your tiles

Tile floors and walls are great because of their durability and relative ease of cleaning and upkeep. But it’s the grout between the tiles that you really have to worry about. Here is a very simple way to clean grubby grout to get sparkling clean lines between your tiles.

Roll up your sleeves. It’s time to get busy.

First you need the following: A Scrubby Sponge, a Vacuum/Broom and Dust Pan, Grout Brush (or just an old toothbrush) and an acid base Tile and Grout cleaner like Scrubbing Bubbles.

Now, here is what you do:

  • Remove all items from the shower/tub and off the tile floor
  • Vacuum/Sweep over your tile floor until its dust/dirt free.
  • Apply ample tile and grout cleaner and use your sponge to spread it evenly.
  • Let the cleaner sit for 5-10 minutes to allow it to do its magic.
  • Start scrubbing the tile with your sponge.
  • Use the grout brush (or old toothbrush) between tiles.
  • Rinse and dry with a clean towel.

By now you should notice a significant improvement. If by any chance you were not successful by returning your tile’s shine to its glorious days you may want to plan into replacing your old and run down floors with new tiles.  In greater Los Angeles area companies such as Cosmos Flooring can help you achieve your idea considering your desire and budget.
